El Feo is a mezcalería bar in Vienna. Starting almost from scratch, with a gutted bar in Vienna’s 8th district, we leaned heavily on the DIY aesthetic of punk culture to create something fresh, yet authentically Mexican.

Our journey to create the most authentic mezcal bar in Vienna lead us to Oaxaca. We witnessed the real process of mezcal creation and immersed ourselves into the lives of those who rely on it, allowing us to share this magical process with the world.

The distinctive el Feo ‘eye’ logo started cropping up all over Vienna, as people got inventive, generating free publicity with the stickers they received at the bar.
